There are some things that come with teaching. By that I mean, some behaviors or ways of thinking and doing things. And usually only teachers can understand these oddities, simply because it's what we do. We live this job, love this job and wouldn't do anything else.

Totally true. You know you're a teacher when you wake up at night and think about that pencil sharpener and whether or not you can fit it into your budget. Great post!

Those are perfect! I hopped right over to take another look at that pencil sharpener. A quiet sharpener--- what a concept? One Saturday my husband was sharpening some for me. With the door closed, I could hear it at the end of the hallway! It works okay, but I'm guessing it's about the same age as the building which makes it 40-50 years old. Time to retire it!
